Dr. Puyear grew up in San Gabriel, a sunny suburb of Los Angeles, CA. She completed her undergraduate degree in music performance and neuroscience at the University of Michigan and her medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School. She is a current neurology resident at Northwestern McGaw Medical Center. She has a strong interest in bioethics, medical student education, and mentoring fellow first-generation college students. Dr. Puyear hopes to delve further into neuro-ethics and podcast education during her neurology residency.
